These concrete reliefs on the local brutalist multi-storey carpark may be lost when it is demolished. This cannot happen!
Designed in 1969 by local artist Harold Gosney, inspired by images from the handbook of his Austin Cambridge Estate. They are iconic. They should be preserved somehow! 3D scans are being taken but the actual concrete pieces should be removed and saved! In the meantime, I may have to use them as inspiration for some designs…

First 10k of 2025. A cold but sunny run along Scot

First 10k of 2025. A cold but sunny run along Scotter Bottom in Scunthorpe, finishing in Quibell Park. Spent the last (tough!) 3k trying desperately to recall the Dickens quote: “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”
I couldn’t get it all but knew it was one of those days.
My preparation hasn’t been the best but 12s shy of a PB so I’ll take that…I’m going to drink some beer now.
